" Use default gateway on remote network" should be checked.

Click on "OK"

Click on "OK" again

    Instructions for Internet Explorer

  1. Click on the "Start" button.

  2. Select "Settings".
  3. Select " Control Panel".
  4. Double Click the "Internet Options" icon. The "Internet Properties" windows will be displayed.
  5. Select the "General" tab if it is not already selected. The tabs are Located near the top of the windows.
  6. Under the "Home Page" section you may enter www.jbcs2.net in this box. This is the website that the browser will open first when the Internet is accessed.
  7. Click on the "Connection" tab.
  8. Depending on your software:

  9. If you have boxes titled "User:" "password:" and "domain:" enter your login ID for "User:" and your password for "password:" Leave "domain:" blank.

    If you have a "Dial-up Settings" section highlight "JBCS2.net" and click on the "Settings" button. This will bring up the "JBCS2.net settings" window. Make sure the "Automatically detect settings" the "Use configuration script" and the "Use a proxy server" boxes are unchecked.

    Enter your login ID for "User:" and your password for "password:" Leave "domain" blank.

    Ex. User Name ????????@jbcs2.net

    Password ???????

  10. Click "OK".

  11. Click "OK". This should close your "Internet Option: window and bring you back to the "Control Panel" Close any open windows to return to the desktop.
  12. Click on the icon for your browser to access the Internet.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Configuring your computer for JBCS2.net E-Mail

In order to send and receive email via JBCS2.net you must use your Windows Outlook express program.

Open Outlook Express (This can be done by clicking on the letter icon found on your task bar on the bottom of your screen).

Open the tab "tools" scroll down to "Accounts" and click on it, and then click on "Mail".

You want to select "ADD"

Then select "Mail"

The "Internet connection wizard" should appear.

Type in your name, click next

YES you have an email address.

The next screen should ask for your email address, enter ____________@jbcs2.net

Click next

Enter pop.jbcs2.net for the incoming POP3 or IMAP server.

Enter smtp.jbcs2.net for the outgoing SMTP server.

Click next

Enter your user name and password

Click finish

This will take you back to the Internet accounts screen.

Highlight jbcs2.net and select the "set as default tab"

Congratulations you did it.

Click finish.

Select "connect using my phone line"

In the box "Internet accounts" that just popped up go to the properties box enter:

Your user name and your JBCS2 email address for your email and also the reply email.

Click apply the click ok.

Close out the screen.
